Ferrari EV sells for $40 million at auction

(CNN)– A one-of-a-kind Ferrari just sold for a stunning $40-million and it hasn’t even been delivered yet.

The custom 2026 Ferrari Luce sold at an RM Sotheby’s auction in Monterey, California Saturday, Aug. 15.

Dubbed the “Chassis Zero”, it’s the first production Chassis from Ferrari’s Luce program.

The electric four-door features an iridescent finish that shifts from green to violet depending on angle and light.

All $40-million will benefit the Ferrari Foundation’s Educational Initiatives.

The buyer is expected to receive the car in early 2027.
