Sumter Co. coroner identifies person dead after motor vehicle collision

SUMTER COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– The Sumter County Coroner’s Office has released the name of a person who died after a motor vehicle collision.

Coroner Robert Baker says 18-year-old Jakiem Young died on Monday, August 17, after he sustained injuries during the collision.

The collision happened on Sunday, August 16, around 6:10 p.m. on Cane Savannah Road and Eagle Road.

Sumter County Coroner’s Office and the SC Highway Patrol is investigating.
