Walmart gets nearly $3 billion in tariff refunds

(CNN)– Walmart says some of its almost three-billion-dollars’ worth of tariff refunds will go toward price cuts.

The retailer says money will also go to supporting investments that affect the customer experience.

The refund stems from a February Supreme Court ruling declaring most of President Trump’s duties illegal.

In total, the government is working to refund about $168 billion to about 330,000 retailers.

Walmart says it has already received most of the money.
