8 facing charges connected to fentanyl trafficking

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– The state Attorney General’s Office says eight people are facing charges in operation ‘Pressed For Time’.

Officials say the investigation focused primarily on a fentanyl trafficking organization operating in several counties including Richland.

Investigators say the defendants are accused of using illegal pill presses to manufacture pills containing fentanyl.

Officials say they are also accused of trafficking meth.
