Firefighters save northeast Richland County home after fire breaks out

RICHLAND COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– First shift crew firefighters were able to save a northeast Richland County home this afternoon, says CRFD.

Columbia-Richland Fire Department crews responded to a home on Salusbury Lane shortly before 2:45 p.m. Tuesday, August 25.

Firefighters arrived to the area to find smoke showing from two sides of the property.

After making entry into the home, firefighters located the fire in one room and contained it, says CRFD.

All occupants of the home made it out safely.

Four dogs were found inside the home, and brought outside by firefighters to receive medical care.

One dog did not survive the incident, according to Cola Fire.

There were no other injuries reported.

The fire was extinguished and four people have been left displaced.
