Gen-z sees higher credit scores

(CNN)– Mortgage rates may be high but young buyers are likely to qualify for the best offers.

Americans between 18 and 29 years old have higher credit scores today than they did just before the pandemic.

Roughly half of all Gen-Zers have FICO scores of at least 700.

Analysts say much of that is because they got a break on student loans when payments were paused during the health emergency.

They’ve also had access to better education on how credit scores impact borrowing later in life.
