Two men fatally struck by train Tuesday in Orangeburg

ORANGEBURG CO., S.C. (WOLO) – The Orangeburg County Coroner’s Office says two people were killed after being struck by a train Tuesday night.
Coroner Sean Fogle says two Hispanic men, ages 26 & 29, were struck between 10 & 11 p.m. off Tee Vee Road near the intersection of Old Number Six Highway in Elloree.
Railroad officials confirmed that a train passed through that area between those times.
Fogle says their bodies were discovered Wednesday and they died from multiple blunt force injuries.
The coroner says their identities have not been released until next of kin has been properly notified.
The Coroner’s Office, Highway Patrol and representatives from the railway authority are investigating.
