DHS to launch voter fraud probe

(CNN)– The Trump Administration is continuing its effort to uncover alleged voter fraud.

Internal federal guidance reviewed by CNN reveals the Department of Homeland Security is planning to investigate select states for voter fraud starting Tuesday, Sept. 1.

Nine states are targeted, including Washington, Wisconsin, Georgia and California.

The guidance says the investigative action will run from early September to mid-October.

DHS has already pushed states to share their voter rolls for audit.

Those that don’t would have grant funding withheld unless they adopt a broader set of election reforms.
