COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) – The Richland County Coroner’s Office has identified a toddler that was killed in a shooting Thursday.

Coroner Naida Rutherford says Erin Myers, 3-years-old, died of a gunshot wound sustained inside his home at the Colony Apartments off of the 3100 block of Bailey Street.

The coroner says he was transported last night to Prisma Health Richland Hospital where he succumbed to his injury.

The Coroner’s Office and Columbia Police are investigating.
