Sumter deputies investigate double homicide in Lynchburg

SUMTER CO., S.C. (WOLO) – Sumter County deputies are investigating a double homicide in Lynchburg Wednesday.

Authorities say they were dispatched to the home Wednesday evening after receiving a report that two people had been found dead.

Once they arrived, they found the bodies of two adults.

The Sumter County Coroner’s Office has not released the victims’ identities as of yet.

Investigators have identified persons of interest and have reason to believe that the victims knew the killer(s).

It’s also believed that this was an isolated incident and does not pose a threat to the community.
