United Airlines releases new app feature

(CNN)– United Airlines says it is making it easier for customers to change flights.

A new feature in its app allows passengers to put themselves on stand-by lists for up to three earlier flights.

The system will constantly monitor those flights and notify passengers if a seat becomes available.

The airline is touting it as a solution for people whose flights have been delayed or rescheduled.

But that’s not a requirement, anyone who just decides they want an earlier flight can use it.
