FDA authorizes marketing of JUUL2 E-cigarette device

(CNN)– JUUL now has FDA authorization to market three new e-cigarette products.

They include tobacco, and menthol-flavored pods, and JUUL2 devices.

The FDA cites research showing people who switched to them were exposed to fewer harmful chemicals.

It says some stopped smoking altogether.

The marketing grant covers the optional age-verification technology in the JUUL2 system.

It pairs with an app that helps ensure users are 21 and over.
