Deputies: One injured in afternoon shooting

Richland Co., S.C. (WOLO)– Richland Co. deputies say one person was injured in a shooting Tuesday afternoon.

Deputies say they responded around 2pm to Crestmont Rd. in reference to a shooting.

When they got there, deputies say they found a man with a gunshot wound to the upper body.

EMS took him to the hospital in stable condition.

Investigators say they were able to track down a vehicle matching the description of one involved in the shooting prompting a short pursuit.

Deputies say the vehicle came to a stop in the Folkstone neighborhood and the people inside took off running.

According to investigators multiple people are in custody and the incident is under investigation.
