Driver dead after Monday morning collision in Orangeburg County

ORANGEBURG COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– SCHP says a driver is dead after a Monday morning collision in Orangeburg County.

The collision happened Monday morning, September 28, at the intersection of U.S. 178 and S.C. 172.

Around 9:20 a.m., a 2005 Toyota Sequoia attempted to make a left turn when it hit a 2020 Kia Soul that was traveling west on U.S. 178.

Troopers said the driver of the Kia was injured and taken to a local hospital, where they later died.

Orangeburg Co. Coroner Sean Fogle identified the Kia driver as 61-year-old Rosa Green.

S.C. Highway Patrol says the crash remains under investigation.
