OpenAi scraps new model release due to security concerns

(CNN)– Open Ai will not release its latest model next month as expected.

Company officials say “GPT 6.1 Astra” didn’t reach its safety threshold.

According to open Ai’s website,  the Astra model is “state-of-the-art on computer use, browsing, professional work, software engineering, cybersecurity, and science.”

But the company says it failed to stay within its scope of authorization.

Concerns about overall Ai safety have increased over the past few months after several Ai companies announced separate breach attempts by their agents.
