Memorial service announced for Orangeburg teacher killed in a collision
ORANGEBURG CO., S.C. (WOLO) – A beloved Orangeburg teacher killed in a collision will be laid to rest Sunday.
According to Glover’s Funeral Home, Rosa Green’s memorial service starts at 4 p.m. at North Middle High School’s Gymnasium, 692 Cromer Ave.
School officials say Green worked as a math teacher, where they praised her as a “phenomenal math teacher, a wonderful colleague, and a friend to all. She dearly loved her students, our school, and the NMH community. We ask for continued prayers for her family, our staff and students, and the town of North. Ms. Green is our Forever Eagle.”
South Carolina Highway Patrol says on Monday at 9:20 a.m., a Toyota Sequoia tried to turn left on US-178 at SC-172, when they struck Green’s vehicle.
She later died at the hospital while the Toyota driver was not hurt.
This incident remains under investigation.
