Midlands man wins $200,000 on The Price is Right scratch-off

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– A Midlands man has won $200,000 playing The Price is Right scratch-off game, say lottery officials.

The Midlands winner told lottery officials he use to watch the popular game show.

“Yes,” he said. “I used to watch the show on television when Bob Barker hosted it.”

He says he was surprised when he scratched the ticket and won a six-figure top prize.

He picked out The Price is Right ticket at the H & E Mart on N. Beltline Blvd. in Columbia.

The odds of winning $200,000 in the $5 The Price is Right game are 1 in 810,000.

Two more top prizes remain in the game, according to SC Lottery.

For selling the claimed ticket, H & E Mart LLC in Columbia received a commission of $2,000.
