34% of people expected to spend more for Halloween

(CNN)– 34% of Americans expect to spend more on Halloween this year compared to last year.

That’s one of the findings from a Deloitte survey about the holiday.

It predicts the average household will dole out $285 across Halloween spending categories.

The survey shows mini chocolates could be the most popular candies.

Pop-culture characters and traditional spooky choices dominate the costume category.
