Oil output gradually returns in Gulf

(CNN)– Oil production is gradually recovering in the Gulf of Mexico after shutdowns and evacuations caused by Hurricane Isaias.

The ‘Marine Minerals Administration’ reported that Sunday mid-day, about 58% of daily oil production in the gulf was shut down.

That’s an improvement from a peak of 72% shut down Friday afternoon, October 9 and 69% Saturday, October 10.

Personnel are also returning to offshore production platforms that were evacuated ahead of the storm.
