Victim identified in Fairview Road/US-178 collision in Lexington

LEXINGTON CO., S.C. (WOLO) – The Lexington County Coroner’s Office has identified the victim of a two-vehicle collision on US-178 Tuesday morning.
Coroner Margaret Fisher identified the victim as Hillary Rain Rish, 35, of Leesville.
According to troopers, at around 7:17 a.m., Rish was driving her Dodge Durango west on Fairview Road/US-178 near the intersection of TA Ford Road, when she was struck by a Chevy Malibu travelling east head-on.
Coroner Fisher says Rish, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver and a passenger in the Chevy were taken to the hospital with serious injuries.
This incident remains under investigation.
