SC State taking precautions to ensure safe environment during homecoming

ORANGEBURG COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– As South Carolina State University prepares to welcome thousands of alumni and visitors for homecoming 2026, university officials say they are taking additional steps to ensure a safe environment for everyone.

As part of those efforts, residence hall visitation by nonresident guests will not be permitted between Friday, October 16 and Sunday, October 25.

An additional safety measure they say all individuals entering the SC State campus on Saturday, October 24, must have a valid homecoming football game ticket.
