Free Character Building Summer Camp

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) — If you are looking for something positive for your teenagers to do this summer, Parenting Solo may have the answer. Beginning June 23, the organization is offering the MOVE, Men of Valor Experience, and the WAVE, Women Achieving Virtue Experience. They are four part workshops that will link young women and men with caring volunteer mentors who will guide them through various topics of discussion. An RV camping trip to Irmo for boys and a slumber party for girls are also included. The character building camp targets teenagers 12-14. Tuesday, May 29, is the last day to enroll. Enrollment is free. Sessions will be held at North Springs Park, 1320 Clemson Rd., and The Meeting Place Church International, 3101 Percival Rd. The first session is Saturday, June 23, 2012.
