Girlfriend sought in Anderson stabbing death

ANDERSON, S.C. (AP) — Police say they are looking for a 46-year-old woman after her boyfriend was stabbed to death on an Anderson sidewalk.

Witnesses told investigators that Anita Scott appeared to be arguing in a home Saturday afternoon with her boyfriend, 46-year-old Alvin Johnson, then the fight spilled outside and Johnson was stabbed.

Anderson County deputy coroner Don McCown says Johnson died at a hospital a short time after being stabbed once in the chest.

Police have charged Scott with murder, but she had not been taken into custody.
