Mississippi man killed along SC highway

AIKEN, S.C. (AP) — Troopers with the South Carolina Highway Patrol say a Mississippi man was killed while he stood outside his disabled vehicle on Interstate 20 in Aiken County.

WIS-TV reported (http://bit.ly/Lo1YoU) that the patrol says the crash occurred early Saturday between the 11 and 12 mile markers on westbound Interstate 20

Troopers say a westbound driver crashed into the man’s pickup on the side of the highway. The truck was pushed into the victim.

He was taken to a hospital in Georgia where he died. The driver and passenger in the other car weren’t injured.

Troopers say the 59-year-old victim was from Vicksburg, Miss. Troopers didn’t release his name.
