Over 21 million Americans have voted early during midterm elections

CNN—The 2022 midterm elections are one week away and more than 21 million Americans have already voted, according to Edison Research and Catalist.

So far in 46 states, including South Carolina, 21.4 million people have cast pre-election ballots so far. Texas is leading the pack with nearly 3 million people having already submitted their votes.

In Florida, 2.8 million people have cast their pre-election ballots. New state polling from the New York Times and Siena College finds some of the races could be very tight.

According to the polling, democratic incumbents in Nevada and Georgia are in close contests with their GOP challengers.
