COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)— Richland School District Two will host the Choice Fair, a two-day event in December where families can learn about the district’s schools and centers.

The in-person fair is scheduled Dec. 6 for elementary schools and Dec. 7 for middle and high schools, both at 5 p.m.-6:30 p.m., say officials. Parents and students will learn about Magnet Programs, Expanded Choice and the R2eSchool.

Families are able to apply to a district school that is not their residentially zoned school through Expanded Choice. The R2eSchool is a full-time virtual learning program that is done remotely for students in grades 6-12.

Officials say parents will be responsible for transportation for all Choice options and only students zoned for Richland Two are eligible.

Information on the Richland Two Institute of Innovation (R2i2) Student Innovation Center and the Richland Two AVID Early College will also be available at the Choice Fair.

The online application process for Choice begins Dec. 12 at 8 a.m. and ends Jan. 25 at 5 p.m. Apply online at www.richland2.org/choice.
