VA representatives visiting rural SC area
DILLON, S.C. (AP) — Veterans in the Dillon area have an opportunity to learn about health benefits.
A Rural Health Team from the Fayetteville, N.C., VA Medical Center is visiting the area on Friday.
A nurse educator is on hand to talk about issues like managing diabetes and controlling high blood pressure and cholesterol. There is also someone available to talk about VA health benefits and accept veterans’ enrollment.
Anyone who has served in the U.S. military is invited to attend the event at the Fire Department Conference Room. Veterans should bring a copy of their discharge paperwork and last year’s financial information.
