Man charged with killing 2 in Richland County

COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) — Richland County deputies have charged a man with two counts of murder after officers were led to the bodies of two men by a severely injured woman.

Investigators said 27-year-old William Wallace was arrested Thursday, just hours after the bodies were found.

Deputies say a motorist flagged down an officer around noon Thursday after finding a severely wounded woman. Authorities say the woman told deputies that there might be other victims at a Columbia apartment, where officers would find the two dead men.

Investigators didn’t release a motive for the killing, and they didn’t know the injured woman’s condition.

Wallace is being held at the Richland County jail. It wasn’t known if he had a lawyer.
