2nd man charged in Greenville beating death
GREENVILLE, S.C. (AP) — Authorities say a second man has been arrested in the beating death of a Greenville woman.
Greenville County deputies say U.S Marshals arrested 31-year-old Cedric Marquis Sullivan at around 8:45 a.m. Tuesday. He was being held Tuesday afternoon in the Greenville County jail on a murder charge.
Deputies say Sullivan acted with 33-year-old James Cornelius Gary to kill Ellen Renea Willingham. The 55-year-old woman was found in a parking area near Interstate 85 on May 26. Police say Willingham was hit in the head and died that night from her injuries.
Gray was also being held in jail on charges including robbery and murder. It wasn’t clear if either he or Sullivan had an attorney.
