Final 4th Fireworks At The Cap?

COLUMBIA, S.C. (Blowfish PR) — The Columbia Blowfish were dominated by the Florence RedWolves Wednesday night in front of 5,037 fans at Historic Capital City Stadium. The loss is the second straight for the Blowfish. The RedWolves got on the board in first scoring a single run after loading the bases against Blowfish starter Stuart Pound. Lee Wilson scored on a Daniel Oliver walk. Pound lasted four and two third innings giving up six runs on nine hits while striking out two and walking four. Pound also took the loss for the Blowfish. The Blowfish answered in the bottom of the second when Tre-Von Johnson scored on a Jarrod Reed single to right field. The RedWolves retook the lead in the top of the third with a run on a sacrifice fly. The Blowfish tied the game again in the bottom of the third on a Gabe Loweree RBI single to left to score Joshua Miller. The RedWolves then took over scoring four in the fifth another in the seventh and five in the ninth to take the 12-2 lead. Adam Albers relieved Stuart Pound going a third of an inning and striking out the only batter that he faced. Tucker Ward then pitched two innings giving up one run on one hit while striking out three. Connor Sullivan pitched the eighth and ninth for the Blowfish giving up five runs on seven hits while striking out one. The RedWolves got an outstanding pitching performance from Brandon Bargas who went eight innings giving up two runs on eight hits while striking out six and getting the win. Ryan Leach pitched a perfect ninth for the RedWolves. The Blowfish travel to Gastonia on Thursday before returning home Friday to host the Asheboro Copperheads at Capital City Stadium.
