Man shot to death in Clover, 1 woman injured

CLOVER, S.C. (AP) — York County sheriff’s deputies are investigating the shooting death of a man and the wounding of a woman in Clover.

Deputies were called to a home near Clover around 2 p.m. Thursday.

Authorities say 21-year-old Kevis Thomas broke into the home and shot the 18-year-old woman, then turned the gun on himself.

Sheriff’s spokesman Trent Faris says the woman was flown to a Charlotte, N.C., hospital for treatment. Faris would not release her name.
