2 die in fire at Clover mobile home

CLOVER, S.C. (AP) — Two people have died in a fire at a mobile home near Clover.

York County authorities say 78-year-old Sam Price and his wife, 67-year-old Joanne Price, died in the fire early Tuesday.

Sheriff’s spokesman Trent Faris says firefighters were called to the home shortly after 1:30 a.m. when a passing motorist spotted the flames. Fairs says the home was destroyed.

Another woman in the house escaped and was taken to Piedmont Medical Center in Rock Hill for treatment.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
