North Charleston won’t name street No Way
NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) — The city of North Charleston has rejected a plan to rename a street No Way.
The Post and Courier of Charleston reports (http://bit.ly/MmAMo4) North Charleston’s planning commission this week turned down the request to rename Bonnie Marie Way as No Way.
A developer had suggested the name “No Way” after several earlier attempts had been rejected to rename Bonnie Marie Way, a dead-end road in an exclusive waterfront neighborhood.
City spokesman Ryan Johnson says some commissioners didn’t think No Way fit in well with other street names in the neighborhood.
