Man stabs friend to death near downtown Charleston
CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) — Authorities say an argument between two men who knew each other led to a fatal stabbing in downtown Charleston.
Police said 64-year-old James Perrineau attacked his friend around 1 a.m. Sunday at an intersection on King Street near the end of Interstate 26.
Investigators didn’t detail what the men were arguing about. The name of the victim has not been released.
Perrineau is charged with murder. He is being held in the Charleston County jail, and it wasn’t clear if he had an attorney.
