Cops: Drug deal led to Lancaster County homicide
LANCASTER, S.C. (AP) — Investigators say a drug deal led to a shooting that left a man dead in his running pickup truck in Lancaster County.
Deputies said 21-year-old Stanley Reed and 19-year-old Keishawn McManus were arrested and charged with murder late Friday.
Authorities say the suspects were involved in a dispute with Timothy Wissinger over a drug deal when the three men met again Wednesday to buy and sell drugs.
The men argued again, and deputies say Reed shot Wissinger once in the chest. Wissinger tried to drive away, but crashed his truck into a tree.
Deputies say they found a gun and cocaine at McManus’s home.
McManus and Reed are being held at the Lancaster County jail without bail. It wasn’t clear if they had lawyers.
