SC GOP delegation to brief media at Liberty

COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) — South Carolina Republican leaders slated to attend the party’s national convention in Florida are meeting with the media in Columbia.
The state delegation to the Republican National Convention is holding a meet-and-greet Tuesday at Liberty Tap Room & Grill. Delegates will discuss their activities at the convention that opens Aug. 27 in Tampa, Fla.
Former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney will officially accept the GOP nomination for president at the four-day convention.
South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley is among those scheduled to speak. Other announced speakers include New Mexico Gov. Susana Martinez, former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush and former U.S. Sen. Rick Santorum.
State party Chairman Chad Connelly and delegation members expect to hold daily news conferences during the event.
