Ward Says Defense Has “A Long Way To Go”

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) — Following Wednesday night’s scrimmage at Williams-Brice Stadium, USC defensive coordinator Lorenzo Ward says his defense has “a long way to go” before the Gamecocks season opener at Vanderbilt August 30th. Ward says he is pleased with some of his younger players, too. The Gamecocks plan to have a scout team midway through next week.
