COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) — A community health fair will be held Saturday in Columbia, providing free screening services and educational materials on wellness. The fair comes at the conclusion of Columbia Mayor Steve Benjamin’s third annual back-to-school “Drills and Skills” program, which took place this week. Students who participated in this week’s program will have the opportunity to get a free sports physical. Screenings such as body mass index, blood pressure, and dental checkups are just some of the services that will be provided to the general public. The fair will be held in conjunction with a skills competition at Greenview Park from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Saturday. The park is located at 6700 David Street in Columbia. You can obtain more information from the City’s Parks and Recreation division at (803) 545-3100.
