Moglia giving up Wall Street for Coastal sidelines

CONWAY, S.C. (AP) — Coastal Carolina is going to see if Joe Moglia’s success on Wall Street translates to the Chanticleers football program. The team fired its only coach in program history, David Bennett, and replaced him with Joe Moglia. He’s best known for his financial success as the former CEO of TD Ameritrade. Coastal Carolina University President David DeCenzo says Moglia has a proven track record on and off the football field and a passion for the game. Moglia spent the past three seasons re-building his coaching credentials at Nebraska as a volunteer assistant and as coach of the UFL’s Omaha Nighthawks. Moglia previously worked for 16 years in football. His last stint was defensive coordinator at Dartmouth from 1981 to 1983. He stepped out after that to join the business world.
