New year opens at Charleston School of Law

CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) — The president of the South Carolina Bar is the scheduled speaker at the opening convocation for the new year at the Charleston School of Law.
Angus Macaulay is slated to speak Thursday at the law school. Hundreds of law students are expected to attend the event at the Charleston Music Hall. It’s the beginning of the ninth year of classes at the school.
Macaulay is a member of the Nexsen Pruet law firm in Columbia. The firm has 180 attorneys in eight offices throughout the Carolinas.
