Richland Two receives IT award

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) — Richland School District Two was awarded the 2012 Palmetto Pillar award for IT Infrastructure, the district announced Wednesday. The Greater Columbia Chamber of Commerce Information Technology Council says the award was for the district’s implementation of its Virtual Desktop setup. The technology was designed to decrease the cost of software and technical support through virtual and remote access technology.
