No charges in fatal Kershaw shooting
Kershaw deputies say they won’t charge a man who fatally shot another man wielding a sword-like weapon at him.
KERSHAW, S.C. (WOLO)— Kershaw deputies say they won’t charge a man who fatally shot another man wielding a sword-like weapon at him.
Investigators say Darius Chester was at his girlfriend’s house on Shivers Green Road Tuesday when her ex, Alexander Johnson, who allegedly sent threats to her, passed by the residence.
Deputies say Chester later shot and killed Johnson during the altercation, but they won’t charge him due to self-defense.
He was charged with trafficking meth and was taken to the Kershaw County Detention Center.
This incident is still under investigation.
