(WOLO) COLUMBIA,S.C,– After 8 days of more than 30 witnesses testimony, final arguments, 5 pre-recorded jailhouse phone calls and most recently the birth of a new baby, it appeared that the fate of Zinha Jennings was going to be in the hands of the jury. A conflict in child care for one of the jurors forced the judge to delay deliberations until Friday morning. The more than a week visits to the courthouse have created an emotional strain on those who have been attending each day of the trial including Jennings mother and Amir’s father, Roderick Mitchell. Everyone leaving the courthouse was tight lipped about any of their thoughts regarding the trial saying no more than that they had no comment at all. Court will resume Friday at 9:30 in the morning when those jurors are set to begin their deliberations. Jennings is charged with unlawful conduct toward a child, if found guilty, she could face up to 10 years in prison.
