COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) — Saturday, USC hosts an unfamiliar foe at Williams-Brice Stadium. Though, the Gamecocks will get to know Missouri pretty well from now on as they are now a part of the SEC’s Eastern division. This weekend, USC begins the bulk of their conference schedule against the Tigers. The two teams have met twice before on the gridion – both in bowl games. Missouri won both those meetings in 1979 (Hall of Fame, 14-3) and more recently in 2005 (Independence Bowl, 38-31). USC head coach Steve Spurrier says it all begins with a win on Saturday if the Gamecocks want to bring the SEC Eastern division crown back to Columbia.
