Spurrier Talks Depth Of Receiving Corps

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) — There is no doubt that the Head Ball Coach has quite a bit of depth on the offensive side of the ball. Some young players are starting to step up, and could be key playmakers as the season rolls on for USC. At Tuesday’s press conference, Steve Spurrier – in reference to his receivers corps – said “Sometimes it’s hard to play all of them, but most of our guys did get to play.” Spurrier mentioned he’d like to see Damiere Byrd, Shaq Roland and Shamier Jeffery get more playing time. Both Byrd and Roland caught their first career touchdowns in the Gamecocks win over UAB last week. Saturday, USC hosts the Missouri Tigers at Williams-Brice Stadium. Kickoff is set for 3:30pm.
