NEWBERRY (NC SID) — The Newberry Wolves piled up 565 yards of offense on the way to a emphatic 47-22 victory over Carson-Newman in South Atlantic Conference action at Setzler Field on Saturday night. Murden (West Columbia, S.C.) completed 17-of-26 passes for 214 yards and three touchdowns and had six carries for 76 yards. He was not sacked, as the Wolves’ offensive line has allowed only five sacks in the last 16 games dating back to 2010. Daniel Foster (Lancaster, S.C.) and B.J. Mazyck (Ridgeville, S.C.) had nine tackles each, while Apollo Stretch (Columbia, S.C.) had seven stops with three tackles for loss and a sack.
