CDC: RSV vaccine for seniors expected this fall

COLUMBIA, S.C. (CNN)— The U.S. could have its first RSV vaccine for older Americans by this fall.

Yesterday an advisory committee for the CDC voted in favor of allowing adults 60 and older to get the RSV vaccine.

The agency still has to make a final decision.

RSV can cause severe illness for seniors, children, and people with underlying health conditions.
