Man injured, building damaged after shooting on Gervais Street

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)— A man was found shot in on Gervais Street in Columbia Saturday.

Columbia Police responded to a call of shots fired around 2:30 a.m.

At the scene they found a building was damaged from the shooting.

The male victim was shot in the lower body and was already transported to the hospital before officers arrived.

An investigation is underway.
