COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) — The sixth ranked Gamecocks play the fifth ranked Georgia Bulldogs this Saturday at 7:00 p.m. at Williams-Brice. Here are the numbers on the Dawgs. Passing Aaron Murray is playing as well as any QB in the nation and SEC. The junior quarterback has thrown for 1370 yards and 12 touchdowns on 88 completions. Murray’s 1370 passing yards is 16th in the nation and 2nd in the SEC (behind Tennessee’s Tyler Bray). He also ranks third in the nation and first in the SEC in Quarterback Ranting at 183.5. Rushing The Bulldogs have two freshman running backs that are running at the top of the SEC. Todd Gurley has rushed for 9 touchdowns and 536 yards; both are first in the SEC and high ranking in the nation. Fellow freshman back Keith Marshall has rushed for 428 yards and 5 touchdowns; which are also both high in the SEC. Defense Georgia has 8 sacks and 5 interceptions on the season. Jarvis Jones is the teams leader in sacks at 4.5. The Dawgs are ranked 47th in points against allowing 22 points per game. Comparing this to the Gamecocks; who have 22 sacks and 7 interceptions through five games. Sophomore Jadeveon Clowney is USC’s leader in sacks at 5.5. The Gamecocks are ranked 6th in the nation in points against allowing 11.2 points per game.
