Lockdown Lifted for 3 Richland County Schools

RICHLAND COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO) – The search for an armed teen is over, prompting the Richland County Sheriff’s Department to lift a lockdown on three local schools. Deputies say they have taken the suspect into custody after he ran into the woods off Lee Road with a shotgun Thursday afternoon. At that time, Ridgeview High School, Rice Creek Elementary and Sandlapper Elementary were placed on moderate lockdown. No charges have been filed.
